La Cañada Golf Course is located in a raised part of Guacharo. This is the first public golf course in the Costa del Sol. The course was extended to 18 holes with a new front 9 designed by the architect Dave Thomas. The original nine( now the back nine ) were designed by Robert Trent Jones who also designed the neighbouring courses of Valderrama and Sotogrande. This is a very pleasent course to play with amazing views and excellently maintained greens. Its name comes from the gully (" cañada in Spanish") which is on the 18th hole.
